Born and raised in the rapidly growing city of Austin, Texas, John Ed felt a distinct calling to the land from an early age. As a second generation American to a family of Czech immigrants, it was only fitting for John Ed to follow his family of farmers heritage and take part in the land business.
Together with his wife, Debra, John Ed purchased their first piece of Texas hill country land in 1993 near Burnet. Over the next decade, John Ed spent his time gaining knowledge and improving the ranchland and wildlife habitat. It was during this time that he also pursued his Texas real estate license so that he could help people achieve their own dreams of rural land ownership.
In 2008, John Ed shifted his focus to Ranch Investments, one of Texas’ leading farm and ranch brokerages. As Principal of Ranch Investments, he continues to exemplify the 40-year legacy of honesty and integrity that the brokerage was built on.
